Katie Brier was born in 1988 in Doylestown, PA. She studied with Georgian artist Niko Chocheli as a teenager and went on to earn her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. After graduation, Brier spent a few years working in animation and illustration. After the birth of her daughter in 2014, she decided to return to her first love, painting. Her surreal landscapes are often inspired by day dreams, the subconscious, and spirituality.
